Phil is a seasoned online video specialist, with experience building video products which power some of the biggest SVOD and AVOD services in the world. With nearly 10 years experience, Phil has designed, built, and scaled software for the BBC, Brightcove, and most recently the San Francisco startup, Mux. Phil is an expert in media packaging and segmented streaming formats, with a focus on preparation for highly reliable, scalable delivery.Alongside his day job, Phil develops the proposed SASH open streaming format, builds demo sites for web based video players as part of the “Phil’s Players” project, and enjoys cold IPAs.
